Jow Ga Distance Learning Program

The Distance Learning Program is designed to aid those with a desire to learn Jow Ga Kung Fu who do not have access to a school or instructor in their area. It is also an opportunity for students to become certified and recognized in accordance with the International Jow Ga Kuen Federation Ranking System.
Each level of the distance learning programs cover specific areas of their respective arts which the student must learn and demonstrate proficiency. Learning is accomplished through a combination of modern technologies such as video learning, digital correspondence, and video teleconferencing to bridge the distance between student and instructors.

How the Distance Program Works

1. Submit the distance learning program registration form. Pay the one time $65 registration fee. Tuition is not required for this program, but you have to purchase the required study materials. And pay the testing fee each time you test.
2. Purchase and study the appropriate Jow Ga materials listed for the level you are currently working on certification for. Required materials are available through our online store.
3. After studying and practicing the materials, record a video of yourself performing the required materials and upload to the Youtube or any video media of your choice, e-mail link to Master Chan for evaluation.
4. Master Chan will review and score your performance and skills demonstrated in the video. Each level has a minimum that you must score in order to receive certification. A certification will be issued from the "International Jow Ga Kung Fu Federation" for your achievement of that level.  Students are required to complete the Jow Ga Distance learning within 3 years..

Jow Ga - Yellow Sash test Yellow Sash - beginner level

1. Study and learn from the Siu Fook Fu Instructional DVD.
2. Pre-pay the $45 testing fee.
3. E-mail link of your video  performing the Siu Fook Fu form to Master Chan.
4. Master Chan will review the video and give his recommendations. For a Yellow sash level certificate to be issued, you must have a test score of seventy-five percent or higher. Test results and certificate will be mail to you within two weeks.

Orange Sash - beginner level

1. Study and learn from the Siu Fook Fu Dui Chak (Sparring form) Instructional DVD.
2. Pre-pay the $45 testing fee.
3. E-mail link of your video  performing the Siu Fook Fu Sparring form to Master Chan.
4. Master Chan will review the video and give his recommendations. For a Orange sash level certificate to be issued, you must have a test score of seventy-five percent or higher. Test results and certificate will be mail to you within two weeks.

Purple Sash - intermediate level

1. Study and learn from the Sub Dook Sau (Ten poison hand) Instructional DVD.
2. Pre-pay the $55 testing fee.
3. E-mail link of your video  performing the Sub Dook Sau form  to Master Chan.
4. Master Chan will review the video and give his recommendations. For a Purple sash level certificate to be issued, you must have a test score of seventy-five percent or higher. Test results and certificate will be mail to you within two weeks.

Green Sash - Intermediate level

1. Study and learn from the Siu Hung Kuen (Little Hung fist) Instructional DVD.
2. Pre-pay the $55 testing fee.
3. E-mail link of your video  performing the Siu Hung Kuen to Master Chan.
4. Master Chan will review the video and give his recommendations. For a Green sash level certificate to be issued, you must have a test score of seventy-five percent or higher. Test results and certificate will be mail to you within two weeks.

Blue Sash - intermediate level

1. Study and learn from the Double end Staff form Instructional DVD.
2. Pre-pay the $55 testing fee.
3. E-mail link of your video  performing the Double end Staff form to Master Chan.
4. Master Chan will review the video and give his recommendations. For a Blue sash level certificate to be issued, you must have a test score of seventy-five percent or higher. Test results and certificate will be mail to you within two weeks.

Brown Sash - advanced level

1. Study and learn from the Man Chi Kuen Instructional DVD.
2. Pre-pay the $55 testing fee.
3. E-mail link of your video  performing the Man Chi Kuen form to Master Chan.
4. Master Chan will review the video and give his recommendations. For a Brown sash level certificate to be issued, you must have a test score of eighty percent or higher. Test results and certificate will be mail to you within two weeks.

Black Sash 1st level - advanced level

1. Study and learn from the Tat Sin Kuen Instructional DVD.
2. Pre-pay the $55 testing fee.
3. E-mail link of your video  performing the Tat Sin Kuen Kuen form to Master Chan.
4. Master Chan will review the video and give his recommendations. For a Black sash level certificate to be issued, you must have a test score of eighty percent or higher. Test results and certificate will be mail to you within two weeks.

Black Sash 2nd level - advanced level

1. Study and learn from the Fu Mei Darn Dao (Single board sword)  Instructional DVD.
2. Pre-pay the $55 testing fee.
3. E-mail link of your video  performing the Fu Mei Darn Dao form to Master Chan.
4. Master Chan will review the video and give his recommendations. For a Red sash level certificate to be issued, you must have a test score of eighty percent or higher. Test results, Red Sash certificate and a Red Sash will be mail to you within two weeks.
