Hand Painted "Wing Chun Tong" Chinese Calligraphy Scroll

   The chinese characters "Wing Chun Tong" are traditionally found on either the front wall of the training room or the front of the school itself. The character "Tong" translates as "room" or "clan".

   Every chinese character, from the simplest to the most complex, is formed of one or more strokes in a variety of combinations. There are precise rules governing the writing of a character: the strokes must go from left to right, downward and inward. These rules must always be respected, apart from a small number of exceptions, in order to achieve a correct, graceful, harmonious, swift, and above all, legible writing.
