   Brandon Golden's journey in the martial arts began early. At the age of seven he studied bothTae Kwon Do and Shorin Ryu Karate. By age nine Brandon had joined Chan’s Kung Fu School where he also took on Jow Ga Kung Fu and Jow family Lion Dance under Sifu Sam Hing Fai Chan. Beginning with his earliest studies and continuing through his aduly career, Brandon's study has been intense. Even as a child he often practiced several hours a day. This personal drive and dedication have enabled Brandon to excel throughout his studies.

    Brandon currently holds the rank of 4th level Red Sash (equivalent to a 8th degree black belt) in Jow Ga Kung Fu under Sifu Chan. Brandon took up Combat Judo in 1997 with Sensei Hing Kong Chan of the Chi Yui Judo Association, receiving his Black Belt in 2001. In 1998, Brandon also added Wing Chun (Black Sash, 2002) and Tai Chi to his training regime with Sifu Chan. Brandon has also trained San Shou (Full Contact Fighting) since 2000. In addition to his formal training, Brandon has also had the opportunity to train in a myriad number of other arts over the years.

    In 2004, Brandon put his Martial Arts training on hold to serve his country in the United States Army, serving combat tours in both Afghanistan and Iraq before returning home.

    Brandon returned home safely in 2008, and now teaches Martial Arts at Chan’s Kung Fu School, sharing both his deep knowledge and passion for the martial arts as one of the Head Instructors at the school. In addition to his refined martial arts skills, Brandon also teaches discipline, structure and respect in his classes.
