Mixed Martial Arts, more commonly referred to as MMA, is the popular term by which the newest (or oldest) combat sport has come to be known. Popularized in today’s culture by the UFC, Pride, and countless other fight circuits, what differentiates MMA from other combat sports, such as Boxing, Judo, or Muay Thai, is the wide range of techniques that are allowed, predominately the mixture of stand up and ground fighting.

MMA is seen by many as the next step in Martial Arts evolution, as fighters must cross-train in several disciplines to round out their fighting knowledge and skills. It is the ultimate outlet for martial artists to test their mettle and abilities, with MMA competitors being some of the greatest athletes and martial artists in the world.

Chan’s MMA Program combines aspects of many proven combat arts, such as Boxing, Judo, Muay Thai, Submission Grappling, and Wing Chun. The training program includes intense physical conditioning and endurance training that will push you to the edge and forge your body into a potent weapon. Focused technique drills cover the gambit from standup striking, to take downs and throws, to grappling to give you the skills necessary to become a serious competitor. Regular sparring sessions will prepare you for competition and give you valuable experience against other skilled combatants.

Members of our MMA Program cross train in both Muay Thai and Judo to help develop a solid foundation in striking, take downs, and grappling. In the MMA portion of their training, they learn how to merge their striking and grappling skills together, and learn more advanced techniques and strategies designed specifically for the rigors of the cage.

Basic MMA Program
With the Basic MMA Program, members can come in for training three days a week, attending one sessions of Muay Thai, one session of Judo, and the MMA class. This is a great way for those interested in learning MMA for fitness and fun, but not necessarily for competitive fighting, to get a start in MMA. Alternately, for those that do what to compete, but for whatever reason cannot commit the time or afford the additional cost of training for our Complete MMA Program, this is also a great way to begin building up a foundation of skills.

Complete MMA Program
For those who are serious and dedicated to their training and becoming the best competitive fighter they can be, we offer our Complete MMA Program, which includes training up to six days a week. Members of the Complete Program can attend both sessions of Judo, both sessions of Muay Thai, and the MMA Class. This training regime will demand a lot of you physically and mentally, but is your fastest path to becoming a top notch fighter.
